Each year, we strive to be better people, so here’s Silver Lake’s 2013 New Year’s Resolutions:
This year, we resolve to
• Welcome new campers and make them feel part of the family.
• Try new food in the dining halls – we might just find a new favorite!
• Keep Chipinaw and Silver Lake campgrounds clean.
• Learn a new stroke in the pool.
• Tell our friends from home all about Chipinaw and Silver Lake.
• Write a letter (a real letter) to a camp friend.
• Act silly.
• Try new activities.
• Bring someone who has never been along to an old favorite activity.
• Challenge ourselves to get better at something every day.
• Climb the wall.
• Learn something completely new.
• Help people in need – volunteer.
• Get really dressed up for the camp dances.
• Stop and smell the flowers along the way.
• Decorate the bunk.
• Be a better listener for our friends.
• Try acting.
• Ride a horse.
• Remember to say “thank you” and “please.”
• Join the circus.
• Give more compliments.
• Get to know an old friend better.
• Play my favorite song on the camp radio station.
• Write a response to this Chipinaw or Silver Lake blog.
• Tell more jokes.
• Read the Chippie Chirp cover to cover.
• Smile.
• Remember my friends’ birthdays.
• Develop a better tennis serve.
• Be kind to the people who take care of us.
• Hit the bull’s eye.
• Dance, dance, dance.
